How to troubleshoot a gate not opening for a user

Use these steps to guide a user through the gate opening process for gate with Bluetooth Controllers.

  1. Check if the parker has Bluetooth turned on.
    The app needs to communicate with the gate controller via internet or Bluetooth. In order to open the gate, the user needs to ensure their mobile phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.

  2. Check that the parker authorised Bluetooth to be used by the app.
    The user needs to go to their settings, app settings and for the app, check if Bluetooth is authorised.

  3. If the gate option shows, but does not open the gate when triggered, reboot the gate.
    Power cycle the gate. Turn the gate power off and wait for about 10 seconds. Then switch the power back on. The pedestal may need up to 5 mins to connect the the cellular network. Try to open the gate again to see if it works.

  4. What should the on-site operator do when power cycle the gate didn’t solve the problem?
    The site operator needs to contact Inugo support. The support team will be able to check the gate status and ask the technician to solve the issue if required.
