How to generate signage for scan to pay

Before you can generate signage or a QR code for a site:

  1. Toggle transient parking to green on the site configuration page

  2. Ensure that Scan to Pay has been enabled by Inugo for your site, you can request this by contacting Inugo Support

To enable Scan to Pay on a gated site please contact Inugo Support for information on the hardware or integrations required to support opening the gates for these sessions.

Process

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select signage from the left menu.

  2. Select generate from the top menu.

  3. On the row of the site you are wanting to produce signage for, enter the domain for the web pay site. There should be only one option.

  4. Under format, choose if you want to produce a PDF or a SVG file.

  5. Under security, select which antifraud mitigations you want to add to your code. You can select both colour and logo, just colour, just logo, or neither.

  6. Under unique code, add if you want to allocate a unique number for this code to allow you to track the activity against that specific sign. This code will appear in the history page.

  7. Select download to complete the process.

  8. The file will be save to your downloads folder.

Selecting to download a QR code will produce a QR code only, selecting to download signage will download a file with the location code, weblink and instructions.

Inugo strongly suggests you use the anti fraud measures of colour, logo and unique codes to deter fraudulent QR codes being posted at your sites. We also suggest you ensure the QR code printed on your signage is larger than A4 so it is harder to cover.
