Scan to pay signage
What is scan to pay?
Scan to pay is the web based payment process that is provided by Inugo to you. Scan to pay uses QR codes to take transient parkers to a web page to pay for their parking. This allows transient parkers to pay, without downloading the app. Scan to pay is private labelable to allow you to put your brand in front of your parkers.
Inugo recommend that scan-to pay sings are placed at 12 m intervals for maximum impact.
What is a QR code?
A QR code, short for Quick Response code, is a two-dimensional barcode that can be scanned and read quickly by a smartphone or a dedicated QR code reader. Our QR codes, when scanned, take the parker to a web page to pay for parking. The QR code is unique and gives the customer all the rate options that are configured for transient parkers on its corresponding site.
Generating signage
Inugo enable you to generate a QR code for scan to pay from the customer management portal. This allows you to create a site and hang signs to make a site operational within 2 hours!
Anti-fraud measures
QR code fraud occurs when a QR code is either vandalized or tampered with to direct users to a fraudulent web page. An example of this is when a fraudster places a different code on top of the valid code to redirect customers to a malicious website. To mitigate this, Inugo has anti-fraud measures in place.
Add a logo to your code to make it more difficult to clone the code.
Add a gradient to the code to make it more difficult to clone the code.
Make all codes on a site unique, to allow you to monitor activity per sign.
We recommend that QR code fraud is considered when choosing the placement and encasing of your signage.
App signage
Ensure that you have signage placed by pay stations, entrances, exits that clearly state your app’s name.
Having a prompt to the app on scan to pay signs reduces costs and helps drive up app adoption.
On LPR enabled sites, ensure you have adequate signage that informs parkers that LPR technology is in place.
