How to create a user

There are 2 types of uses you can create from the permissions area in the Customer Management Portal. To create a parking user, follow the steps in Creating a Parking User. To create an Admin user for the app or Customer Management Portal, follow Creating a Special Permissions User.

You need to have the User Management role enabled on your user access to create users.

Creating a parking user

Process

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select permissions from the left side menu.

  2. In the top bar options, select roles

  3. Select add user

  4. Select general user

  5. Add the user’s email address, first name and last name

  6. Select the groups that the user belongs to. If no group is selected, the default public group will be applied. 

  7. Set the expiry date of that user’s group membership if applicable

  8.  Choose if you’d like to send a notification to the user. 

    1. If the user is not registered the notification will invite them to the app. 

    2. If the user is already registered, this will inform them that they have been invited to the sites that are configured in the group. 

  9. Select set permissions to complete the process.

Creating a special permissions user

Process

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select permissions from the left side menu.

  1. In the top bar options, select roles.

  2. Select add user.

  3. Select special permissions.

  4. Add the user’s email address, first name and last name

  5. Select the roles for the user. There is a guide to the different roles in the table below, otherwise hover over the information icon in the Customer Management Portal to see the details. 

  6. For each role selected, configure the sites that the user has this role on. The default is all sites. 

  7. Select the groups that the user belongs to.

  8. Set the expiry date of that user’s group membership if applicable.

  9.  Choose if you’d like to send a notification to the user. 

    1. If the user is not registered the notification will invite them to the app. 

    2. If the user is already registered, this will inform them that they have been invited to the sites that are configured in the group with special permissions. 

  10. Select set permissions to complete the process.

The user will be able to install and update hardware through the Inugo installer app.
