Frequent Queries
What is self-validation?
Self validation refers to whether a a beacon is unattended or attended. An unattended beacon is self validating, meaning that the user validates themselves. An example of a self validation beacon, might be a beacon that is in a gym that gym users can validate against by being within the gym. We apply settings to self validated beacons to block stacking so that users to not continue adding discounts. A non self-validating beacon example might be behind a concierge desk at a mall, that a concierge makes available to a customer if they spend a set amount. As there is an attendant involved, these beacons are available to stack.
What happens when I add users to a group using a validation beacon?
If a user is added to a group using the validation beacon, they will be granted the access permissions, rates and settings of that group.
