How to add an installation to a site

The installation tab allows you to configure your hardware on the site. This is usually configured by Inugo on your behalf.

An installation is a space where the overall hardware set up of a site can be altered.

Add an installation

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select site settings from the left menu.

  2. Search and select the site in the left menu

  3. Select installation from the top menu.

  4. Select add installation.

  5. Select if the installation should be based on a pre-configured template

  6. Select create

Once you have created the installation

  1. Add in the ticket manufacturer under ticket manufacturer dropdown.

  2. Add in the gate manufacturer in the gate manufacturer dropdown.

  3. Toggle if pre-auth is enabled

  4. Select the sponsor in the sponsor dropdown.

  5. Select update to complete the process.

How to add a group

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select site settings from the left menu.

  2. Search and select the site in the left menu

  3. Select installation from the top menu.

  4. Select add group.

  5. Give the group an name.

  6. Select add.

Once you have created the group, add in the lanes.

How to add a lane

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select site settings from the left menu.

  2. Search and select the site in the left menu

  3. Select installation from the top menu.

  4. Select add lane.

  5. Give the lane a name i.e., Entrance Lane A

  6. Select if the lane is reversible.

  7. Select the lane group

  8. Select add to complete the process.

How to add a gate controller

Before you start, the gate controller must have been provisioned. Follow the process on how to provision a gate controller.

  1. Log into the customer management portal and select site settings from the left menu.

  2. Search and select the site in the left menu

  3. Select installation from the top menu.

  4. Select add gate controller.

  5. Choose the serial number of the gate you want to connect with.

  6. Name the gate so that you and your customers can identify that gate easily. i.e., ABC street entrance A.

  7. Choose the access type of the gate. Select if it is entry, exit or both entry and exit. A gate that is both entry and exit will require XXX

  8. Choose the default communication method of the gate.

  9. Select if the gate controller is a boat ramp.

  10. You can either surface a slider or lock button in the app for you gates. Select no to show a slider, and select yes to show a padlock.

  11. If there is an arming loop (otherwise know as XXXX) select yes, otherwise no.

  12. If there is a gate up sensor connected to the gate, select yes, otherwise select no.

  13. Select if the gate connected to a closed relay.

  14. Select create to complete the process.

Serial number

Unique ID of the device that is being installed. This will be located on a label on the side of the device.

Communication method

Online with Failover: Both Online, and Bluetooth accessibility.

Online only: Can be accessed through internet only (used if the Gate Controller is not within Bluetooth range, or is meant for remote access). Cannot be accessed via Bluetooth.

Bluetooth only: Only accessed via Bluetooth, does not have an internet connection.

Access type (entrance, exit or entry & exit).

Entrance: Used to enter the facility.

Exit: Used to lave the facility.

Entry/Exit: Is used as a multi-directional Lane for both entry and exit. This can be swapped to just entry or just exit when appropriate. This method is called a Tidal Gate, as it flows with the volume of traffic (more people entering = have lane as entry, and vice versa).

Arming loop

Is located underneath a section of concrete, above it is usually where a vehicle stops for the gate to raise. Once the Arming Loop senses metal above it, the gate will activate and be raised.

Gates up sensor

Tells the gate controller whether or not the gate is up.

Closed relay

Tells the gate controller that the gate is closed/down.

Sessionless access

No session required for entry/exit. As many entries/exits as desired between the hours of the session less access.

Restricted access

A space that requires a swipe/key card, a fob, or some sort of authentication to gain access.

QR code

Quick-Response Code, scan this with your mobiles camera whilst WiFi or Mobile data is on and use the link to go to the site.
