Sites/ locations

A site is a parking area that has it’s own rates & groups. For this reason, there might be
multiple sites in one physical location if it is segmented by rates or by parker user groups.

You need to have the site admin permission to update or add a site in the customer management portal.

Setting up a location

When you add a new site, you should consider what other aspects of the parking operation you will need to configure before you make the site operational. We recommend creating the relevant components in the following order for the simplest and most efficient set up.

  1. Create the site

  2. Update site operating hours

  3. Draw geofence

  4. Create the billing details

  5. Create space blocks on the site

  6. Create rates

    1. Transient rates

    2. Booking configuration

  7. Create groups

  8. Create account owners using the create a user guide in the Groups & Users manual.

  9. Create accounts

  10. Configure bay allocations

  11. Create validation

  12. Create promotions

  13. Generate signage

What makes a site operational?

When a new site is created, if the site has paid parking and a rate is been set up, the site billing details have to be configured in order to make the site an operational site.

When a site is not operational, this means that the site would not show in the app, nor can the operator start charging user for any fees. In the portal, a red error message can be seen across all the pages if a site is not operational.
