Bookings

Within the inugo system a booking is a form of pre-arranging parking. A booking is similar to a permit, however unlike a permit, there is no application and approval process. A booking can either be for a duration of hours, days or months depending on the booking rate configuration. 

Customize your bookings

As we adapt to the changes brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, we recognize the need to provide more attractive and adaptable booking features. Inugo supports configuring your bookings to enable/disable the following functions

  • Monthly bookings

    • Subletting a booking for other group members to purchase.

  • Daily bookings

    • Ability to enable a parker to book multiple non-consecutive days in one booking.

    • Ability to set variable daily booking rates in one booking configuration.

  • Hourly bookings

  • Guest bookings pass

  • Allocate a booking configuration to a specific space block

  • Allocate the booking configuration to a to a specific group

  • Enable the booking configuration on multiple sites/ all sites/ a single site.

  • Configure how far in advance the booking can be made.

  • Configure the minimum and maximum duration of a booking, this allows you to create preferential rates for longer term parking. i.e., a monthly booking that has a minimum duration of 12 months would replicate a parker signing a 12 month contract.

  • Create a payment schedule for the booking that includes how far in advance payment is processed.

  • Configure a cancellation fee.

Frequent Queries

What is the difference between a booking and a reservation?

A booking is the inugo term for a reservation - they are the same. Just like reservations, our bookings can be configured to assign a specific parking space using bay allocation, or just to give the parker permission to access the location to hunt for a park.

Does a booking guarantee a parker a space?

This depends on the configuration of your spaces. If you oversell, then there is no guarantee. You can manage the occupancy of each space in the space management page. This tells you how many available spaces there are on the site per your space block set up. Inugo will not let a transient session start unless there are available spaces in the public space block/pool.

What is subletting?

Our sublet feature, allows monthly parkers to make their reserved parking bays available on a shared marketplace when they are not using them. When another parker books the sublet space, the original parker will be credited for the sublet and can use that credit towards a future booking on the same site. The sublet daily rate can be easily configured through the customer management portal. Currently the marketplace that the sublet lists to is the other parkers that in the same group as the subletter.

What is a guest booking pass?

A guest booking pass is a booking that a guest is invited to. It works by allowing a user to apply for a guest booking in the app. The user enters the email address of the guest and they are sent a unique invitation to enter their vehicle details on a dedicated webpage. For gated sites either, our License Plate Recognition (LPR) system will automatically grant access to the guest upon arrival, providing a smooth and convenient experience. For ungated sites, we pass the booking details and plate information to your enforcement provider. Admins can create guest bookings through the customer management portal, or enabled users can book guest parking directly through the app, triggering the invitation process.
